Accord Hospital and Research Center, a 300 bedded facility with 100 operational beds is owned by Accord group. The foundation is incorporated in February 2003 with the sole objective of providing affordable medical services to the citizens of PCMC and surrounding areas. The foundations registration number is F18890, Society registration no. Maharashtra/150/2003/PUNE.
The foundation enjoys the tax breaks under section 12A and section 80G. The foundation’s NITI AYOG id is MH/2018/0199117 and it also is in the process of getting FCRA registration allowing the foundation to raise donations from outside the country.
Accord Hospital and Research Center is located in MOSHI/BHOSARI corridor in PCMC( Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation) which is a developing suburb and twin city of Pune having a population of about 20 lacs. The hospital is located on the Nasik-Pune Highway which serves as the northern gateway to the twin cities of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. This highway is the only access into the city for a vast population along the eastern and western parts of the highway stretching as far as 150 kms. The next accessible medical destination is Nasik which is 200 kms away.

The foundation started its activities when there were was very poor infrastructural development in this area and the poor and under privileged population had no access to quality healthcare. There were no social infrastructure necessitating the people to travel towards Pune for such needs. Any emergency patient needing specialized medical care had to travel a minimum of 18-20 kms through congested traffic to reach any referral hospital in Pune thus losing vital time.
